Terms of use
Last updated: 5 November 2026
Treadlink controls a moving treadmill. Please read the safety part.
1. Who and what
These terms apply to the Treadlink app and this website, provided by kalle.tech UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Michaelkirchstraße 13, 10179 Berlin (“we”). If you got Treadlink from the App Store, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service.
2. Using Treadlink
You may use Treadlink for your own, personal purposes. You may not copy, resell or reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it. Treadlink is currently free. If we offer paid features later, we’ll tell you their price and terms in the app before you buy.
3. Safety
- Follow your treadmill’s manual. Keep its safety key or emergency stop within reach.
- Only start the treadmill from the app when you are standing on it or nobody, including children and pets, can be on or next to it.
- Bluetooth connections can drop. If Treadlink loses the connection, the treadmill may keep running. Then stop it on the treadmill or with its remote.
- Treadlink is not a medical device. Energy, steps and other values are estimates. Ask a doctor before you start exercising if you have health concerns.
4. Treadmills
Treadlink works with many treadmills, but we can’t guarantee that it works with yours, or keeps working after the maker changes its firmware. We are not affiliated with any treadmill maker; their names and trademarks belong to their owners.
5. Other services
Apple Health, Health Connect and iCloud are services of Apple and Google under their own terms. We are not responsible for them being available.
6. Changes to the app
We improve Treadlink and may change or remove features. We’ll keep the data you created on your device usable.
7. Liability
As long as Treadlink is free, we are liable only for intent and gross negligence. This limitation doesn’t apply to injury to life, body or health, to defects we concealed fraudulently, or to liability under the German Product Liability Act. For paid features, we are also liable for slight negligence where we breach an obligation essential to the contract, limited to the typical, foreseeable damage.
8. Law
German law applies. If you are a consumer, this doesn’t take away the protection of the mandatory laws of the country you live in. If the English and the German version differ, the German version applies.
